In March 1985, "Decision of the Central Committee of
the CPC on Reform of Scientific and Technological System"
was issued, which presented a series of major measures and
further motivated the development of the basic research..
In 1985, the scheme of post-doctorate began to be on trial;
then, a lot of major scientific projects were constructed
and the State Key Lab construction Plan was implemented,
making the equipment in some disciplines in China enter
the advanced world rank..
In 1986,National Natural Science Foundation of China was
founded, the foundation scheme began to play an important
part in China's basic research..
In 1987, the former State Science and Technology Commission
organized an investigation to the situation and development
of the nationwide basic research, and based on it, worked
out the basic research part of the "State Mid- and
Long-term Outline for Science and Technology Development".
In 1989, the National Working Conference on the Basic Research
and the Applied Basic Research was held, which clearly pointed
out that the basic research is one of the three levels of
the strategic deployment for Chinese scientific and technological
development, and its continuous and steady development must
be maintained.
In 1990, the former State Science and Technology Commission
worked out the "Main Points of the National Eighth
Five Year Plan on the Basic Research and the Applied Basic
Research."
In 1991, China began to implement the "Climbing Plan."
In 1994, Chinese Academy of Engineering Sciences was founded;
engineering science and technology development began to
enter a new stage. |
